Marcus Friedrichs

Marcus is Managing Director of Greenfields. He is based in our Frankfurt office and represents the company as primary contact for key international clients and their advisors.

In his role as Chief Commercial Officer, he holds the overall responsibility for driving Greenfields’ commercial success and guiding its strategic direction. With a commitment to fostering enduring client partnerships, Marcus leverages his extensive experience to ensure client satisfaction and support our clients’ growth aspirations.

Marcus has spent over 25 years in the corporate and financial services industry. As a seasoned professional, he is holding numerous Non-Executive Director and Board Member roles in leading companies across Private Equity, Family Offices, Real Assets and SMEs, reflecting his entrepreneurial drive, deep market expertise and commitment to excellence.

Prior to his engagement with Greenfields, Marcus demonstrated his strategic vision and leadership in several senior positions. Notably, as Co-Founder and Managing Partner of a global business services provider, he oversaw commercial performance, strategic direction, employee management, and regulatory / compliance relationships for the CoSec business in Germany.

Marcus began his professional career in banking and investment management in 1995, before joining the trust and corporate services industry in 2007. He graduated from the University of Cologne with a master’s degree in international finance, banking and tax law. He is a CFA charterholder, MRICS and banker by profession.

Marcus is a native German speaker and is also fluent in English.
