Biography
As Managing Director of Greenfields, Marcus Friedrichs is based in our Frankfurt office where he serves as the primary contact for key international clients and their advisors. Furthermore, in his role as Chief Commercial Officer, he is responsible for the company’s commercial success and strategic direction. To achieve this, Marcus leverages his extensive experience to foster enduring partnerships, ultimately ensuring client satisfaction and supporting their growth.
Marcus Friedrichs has spent over 25 years in the corporate and financial services industry. As a result, he is a seasoned professional with deep market expertise. He holds numerous board-level positions across various sectors. Specifically, he serves as a Non-Executive Director and Board Member for leading companies in Private Equity, Family Offices, Real Assets, and SMEs. These roles clearly reflect his entrepreneurial drive and commitment to excellence.
Before joining Greenfields, Marcus demonstrated his strategic vision in several senior positions. For example, he was the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of a global business services provider. In this capacity, he oversaw commercial performance and strategic direction. In addition, he managed employees and handled regulatory relationships for the CoSec business in Germany.
Marcus began his professional career in 1995, initially in banking and investment management before joining the trust and corporate services industry in 2007.
His academic background is also strong, as he graduated from the University of Cologne with a master’s degree in international finance, banking, and tax law. Moreover, he is a CFA charterholder, MRICS, and a banker by profession. Finally, Marcus is a native German speaker and is also fluent in English.
